A putty-like packing compound that conforms to any stuffing box, installs with a gun while the pump is running, and replaces a shelf full of spooled braided packing. Five styles cover water, sewage, chemicals, food service, and steam to 1200°F.
AIP Injectable Packing combines the latest chemistry with fiber technology. Its putty-like consistency fills a worn shaft, sleeve, or stuffing box bore completely, so it seals where cut rings cannot. It is self-lubricating, needs no flush or cooling water, and never hardens or dries on the shelf.

Injectable packing is a putty-like sealing compound made of fibers, lubricants, and chemistry blended together. Instead of cutting rings from spooled braided packing, it is loaded into an installation gun and pumped into the stuffing box, where it conforms to the shaft, sleeve, and bore.
Do I still need end rings?
Yes. Injectable packing is contained between conventional braided end rings at the bottom and top of the stuffing box. Anchor Seals Inc. can supply the end rings as a kit sized for your shaft and bore.
Can I add packing without shutting the pump down?
Yes. The installation gun lets you add injectable packing while the pump is running, which is one of the main reasons plants switch to it for critical equipment.
Which AIP style do I need?
Match the style to the media, temperature, pH, and shaft speed in the table above. 1001-2 Cream and 1001-2RWS Red cover water, brine, and sewage; 1001-4 Black covers caustics, acids, and steam condensate; 1001-5 White is FDA approved for food contact; and 1001-2000 Black handles steam and hydrocarbons to 1200°F.
