Teadit
The Teadit line from Anchor Seals Inc.: Tealon PTFE gasket sheet in eight grades, and more than 30 braided, moldable, and injectable packing styles in graphite, carbon, expanded PTFE, aramid, synthetic, and ramie yarns.
Teadit is a global manufacturer of sealing products and Anchor Seals Inc. is an authorized distributor. The packing line is built on INTERLOCK braid and runs from flexible graphite for 1200°F steam and 6900 psig valves to FDA compliant expanded PTFE for food and pharmaceutical pumps, with moldable SEALPAK and injectable JAMPAK compounds for irregular boxes.
The Tealon PTFE sheet grades below cover virgin, glass filled, structured, and expanded PTFE for chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and potable water flanges. Send us the media, temperature, and equipment dimensions and we will match the Teadit style and supply spools, pre-cut rings, or cut gaskets.

Teadit PTFE Gasket Sheet
Eight PTFE sheet styles from virgin skived to multi-directionally expanded. Ratings for each are on the PTFE Packing page.
TF1500 Virgin PTFE, Skived
Style TF1500 PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is a high molecular weight polymer and one of the most versatile plastics known. Style 1500 virgin PTFE sheet can handle virtually all chemicals in the 0 to 14 pH range with the exception of molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine. Particularly recommended for the food and beverage industry where high purity materials are required, and where contamination or discoloration of flow media cannot be tolerated.
TF1525 Glass Filled PTFE, Skived
Style TF1525 PTFE is filled with 25 percent glass fibers by weight. The filled material significantly reduces cold flow and creep and increases wear resistance compared to unfilled PTFE sheet. It can handle a very broad range of chemicals.
TF1560 Structured Virgin PTFE
TF1560 is a structured PTFE manufactured by a unique process that provides a high level of fibrillation to overcome the creep relaxation and cold flow problems associated with normal (skived or molded) PTFE sheets. Produced from virgin PTFE resin without fillers or additives. Due to its low permeability it is recommended where media permeation through the gasket is not acceptable.
TF1570 Tealon, Glass Microsphere Filled
Tealon TF1570 is filled with glass microspheres and is suitable for aggressive chemical applications. It meets FDA conformance for food and pharmaceutical applications. TF1570 is the preferred material for fragile flanges, glass lined equipment, or other applications that require higher compressibility.
TF1580 Tealon, Barium Sulfate Filled
Tealon TF1580 is filled with barium sulfate and is suitable for strong caustic fluids. It meets FDA conformance for food and pharmaceutical applications. Compatible with strong acids along with strong caustics, making it the most diverse material within the Tealon family. With its off-white color, 1580 is also suitable for processes where contamination is not tolerated.
TF1590 Tealon, Silica Filled
Tealon TF1590 is filled with silica and meets a wide range of applications. It is suitable for general service, strong acids, and moderate caustic solutions. It meets FDA conformance for food and pharmaceutical applications.
TF1572 SAN Tealon, NSF-61 Certified
Tealon TF1572 SAN is suitable for a wide variety of aggressive media but is specifically formulated for compliance with NSF-61 for drinking water system components, from source to tap. Its high compressibility makes it particularly suitable for stress sensitive or fragile flanged joints such as glass, ceramics, and plastic.
24SH Multi-Directionally Expanded PTFE
24SH is 100 percent pure, multi-directionally expanded PTFE, universally employable for all applications. Suitable for all types of flanges, nearly all media, a wide temperature range, and the toughest demands on purity. Inherently clean and non-toxic, with exceptional mechanical strength for minimal creep at elevated temperatures. Its malleability makes repairing small flange damage unnecessary, and gaskets are dimensionally stable so narrow flange faces can be sealed safely.

Frequently Asked Questions
All Mechanical PackingsWhat is the difference between static, rotary, and reciprocating pressure ratings?
Static is the pressure the packing holds with no motion, as on a valve stem. Rotary is the rating on a continuously turning pump shaft, where friction heat limits the load. Reciprocating is the rating on a rod or plunger moving back and forth. The same style carries three figures because each service loads the packing differently.
Which Teadit styles are FDA compliant?
Styles 2006 (lubricated) and 2005 (dry) are FDA compliant expanded PTFE packings, Style 2261 SAN is both FDA compliant and NSF-61 certified for potable water, and JAMPAK 27 is available with an FDA compliant lubricant. Tealon sheet grades TF1570, TF1580, and TF1590 meet FDA conformance for food and pharmaceutical flanges.
What are SEALPAK and JAMPAK?
SEALPAK 46 and 47 are moldable PTFE and PTFE graphite packings that are formed by hand into the stuffing box, and JAMPAK 27 is an injectable PTFE fiber compound installed with a gun. Both fill worn or irregular boxes that cut rings cannot seal.
What does Low-E mean on Style 2236?
Low-E refers to low emission valve stem service. Style 2236 is a flexible graphite packing with an Inconel wire jacket engineered to control fugitive emissions on valves in refinery and chemical service.
